I just completed this last night. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. My friend at http://www.thecutesymom.com/Blog.html embroidered the border on this for me. I am swimming with tons of ideas of how to team up with her on other items.
For now, Enjoy the quilt. Also notice the special detail...that each hand is a different size to match the picture of the child it belongs to. ♥
Also, I have a treasury going on at Etsy. It's a Creation Theme, and I would love it if anyone would give it some love! ♥ http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list_west.php?room_id=54715

Beautiful work ! I would never have the patience to do that, lol !
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteAbout your question - The pottery was painted with sponges at one of those potteries where you can decorate your own - Eden Pottery in N Ireland (not too close for you!). I have decorated items before, but never with sponges - it was much easier.
